Marlborough Fabric

Marlborough Nutmeg is a quietly tonal brown fabric with a warm, earthy cast. Its close, subtly pebbled surface gives the plain colour gentle visual movement without introducing a visible pattern.

About this fabric

The shade sits between nut brown and muted taupe, with a soft depth that becomes slightly lighter across the raised texture. The surface appears dense and finely grained, with very little sheen, creating a composed rather than glossy finish. No composition, width or rub-test information has been supplied for this colourway, and no performance features are noted. The understated texture makes the fabric particularly suited to upholstery where a plain brown needs more interest than a completely flat surface.

How to use it

Use Marlborough Nutmeg on a compact sofa, armchair or dining seat to bring warm brown depth into a room. Pair it with aged brass, natural timber, cream textiles and softly contrasting taupes for a calm, tailored scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
