About this fabric

The colour reads as a cool, dusky mauve softened with a subtle brown-grey depth, rather than a bright pink or saturated purple. Its close, even surface appears finely woven and plain, with no visible motif or pile. Light catches the raised folds gently, giving the cloth a restrained sheen while the recessed areas deepen into smoky mauve. The relaxed drape shown here makes the fabric especially suited to flowing window treatments.

How to use it

Use Marvellous Dusk for full-length curtains where its smoky mauve tone can soften a neutral room without becoming sugary. Pair it with warm taupe, aged bronze or chalky plaster shades to echo the colour's muted depth.

Use this dusky mauve tone to bring a softly polished, muted colour note to curtains or blinds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
