About this fabric

The close, regular weave is clearly visible across the flatter areas of the swatch, while the gathered sections show a soft, supple drape. Its celery tone is subdued rather than bright, leaning softly towards olive and grey as the folds turn away from the light. Gentle highlights move across the raised creases, contrasted by deeper green-grey shadows in the recesses. With no performance or composition specification supplied, the visible fine weave and fluid handling make it most naturally suited to drapery.

How to use it

Pair Oxford Celery with warm off-whites, pale timber and muted stone for a calm room scheme. Its softened olive cast would work particularly well in full-length curtains, where the folds bring out the shade’s quiet variation.

Use this softly muted celery shade for relaxed curtains or blinds, where its olive undertone can read subtly through gathered folds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
