Racer Fabric

Racer Shiitake has a warm mushroom-taupe ground, animated by fine, irregular lines that run in gently fluid vertical waves. Folded across the swatch, the surface reveals subtle tonal shifts from soft beige-taupe to deeper brown.

About this fabric

This Warwick fabric is woven with a closely spaced, small-scale striation that gives the surface a softly ribbed, organic character. Its Shiitake colour sits between beige and brown, with a muted warmth that becomes deeper in the folds and lighter where the weave catches the light. The visible cloth has enough body to hold these relaxed drapes while remaining suitable for upholstery or drapery. No composition, width, rub-test or performance specification has been supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use the warm mushroom taupe on a relaxed sofa, occasional chair or full-length curtain, pairing it with pale oak, travertine, chalky walls and other quiet natural neutrals. The fine wavy texture adds depth without introducing a bold pattern.

Use this warm mushroom taupe with timber, stone and soft neutral upholstery or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
