Raphael Sepia

Raphael Fabric

Raphael Sepia brings together warm taupe, soft brown and faded olive tones in a richly layered, painterly pattern. Its gently rumpled presentation shows how the woven surface catches light across the flowing design.

About this fabric

The colourway is grounded in sepia taupe and stone, with darker brown contours and occasional muted olive-gold highlights moving through the motif. Broad swirling forms and softly distressed markings create an organic, fluid surface rather than a sharply geometric repeat. The close view shows a clearly tactile woven texture, with fine crosswise structure visible beneath the printed-looking tonal variation. No composition, width, rub test or performance specification has been supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Raphael Sepia to add warmth to an otherwise restrained room, pairing its taupe and brown base with natural timber, aged brass or olive accents. The layered pattern would suit a feature chair, sofa or relaxed drapery where its flowing movement can be seen across folds.

A warm, layered sepia textile with painterly movement and a tactile woven surface.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Raphael Sepia without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
