About this fabric

The colour reads as a restrained plum softened with charcoal-grey, giving the surface a dusky rather than vivid appearance. Fine vertical lines create a subtle stripe effect, while the changing direction of the folds brings out lighter and darker bands across the cloth. The close, even texture gives this colourway a smart, quietly structured character without a bold motif. Its visible drape makes it suitable to consider for both upholstered pieces and window treatments.

How to use it

Pair Racer Plumb with warm ivory, mushroom and charcoal tones to balance its cool, greyed depth. On a chair or cushion, the fine striation can add texture without competing with larger-scale patterns.

Use its greyed plum tone and fine vertical texture to add understated depth to seating, cushions or relaxed window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
