About this fabric
The visible ground shifts between dusky plum, muted mauve and near-black burgundy where the fabric folds. Raised, irregular ribs run through the cloth in broken vertical and diagonal bands, creating a tactile surface rather than a flat printed motif. Its substantial-looking construction and densely textured face make it read as an upholstery fabric, particularly where folds can accentuate the darker and lighter passages. The overall effect is intimate and dramatic, with the low plum tone absorbing light while the raised ridges catch it softly.
How to use it
Use Santi Cordovan on a statement armchair, headboard or compact sofa where its deep wine-plum tone can anchor softer blush, mushroom or charcoal furnishings. Position it where directional light can pick out the raised ribs and reveal the colour variation.
Its deep plum tone and plush ribbed surface bring dramatic, tactile depth to upholstered seating.
Pairs well with
Santi Cordovan is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
