About this fabric

This plain fabric has a rich aubergine tone, sitting between muted plum and dark eggplant rather than a bright or red purple. The close-up shows a sleek, fluid cloth falling into broad ripples, with gentle lustre on the raised folds and deeper shadow in the creases. The even colour and absence of a visible motif keep the focus on its depth, movement and softly polished surface.

How to use it

Use Serena Urchin at full length to bring a moody, luxe note to a room, particularly alongside warm timber, aged brass or soft neutral upholstery. Its dusky purple tone also works well as a dramatic contrast to pale walls and creamy bedding.

Use this deep aubergine shade for elegant curtains, relaxed draping and softly gathered window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
