About this fabric
The close view shows an essentially plain black ground, with tiny tonal variations in the weave preventing the surface from appearing completely flat. A delicate, closely packed texture is visible across the swatch, while the darker areas read almost charcoal-black at the edges. The restrained surface interest gives this colourway a smart, quietly architectural character without introducing a visible motif.
How to use it
Use this deep, cool-leaning black on a tailored sofa, armchair or headboard where its fine texture can soften the strength of the colour. Pair it with pale timber, chalky neutrals or brushed metal for contrast, or let it deepen a tonal black-and-charcoal scheme.
A deep black, finely textured textile that brings quiet definition to upholstered furniture.

Pairs well with
82 Black is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
