Bonbon Fabric22

22 Liquorice is a deep charcoal colourway with an almost black ground, broken by uneven threads and pale horizontal flecks. Its close, textured surface gives the shade a quietly layered appearance rather than a flat black finish.

About this fabric

The near-black charcoal ground is crossed by irregular bands of grey, soft white and muted taupe, creating a weathered, abstract linear effect. The marks vary in width and density, so the eye moves across the surface without finding a strict stripe. Visible slubs and woven variation give this fabric a dense, tactile character, with small lighter fibres catching against the dark base. It is catalogued as a fabric, with no performance features noted for this colourway.

How to use it

Use 22 Liquorice on a structured armchair, sofa or footstool where its cool charcoal depth can anchor a room. Pair it with pale stone, smoky grey or warm timber to pick out the subtle light flecks without losing its dramatic tone.

A dense, dark charcoal upholstery option that brings tactile depth to tailored seating and occasional furniture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
