02 Woodsmoke

Nidaros Fabric02

Nidaros 02 Woodsmoke combines a cool smoky-grey woven ground with broad, chalky ivory lines that form an irregular angular lattice. The close-up reveals fine horizontal slubbing beneath the graphic pattern, giving the colourway a tactile, quietly layered quality.

About this fabric

The grey ground has a softened woodsmoke tone rather than a sharp charcoal, while the pale ivory geometry creates clear contrast across the surface. Its wide, uneven lines intersect into oversized diamonds and angular links, making the pattern read boldly at close range. Fine horizontal variations in the weave temper the graphic design with a gently weathered texture. The balanced mid-tone palette feels smart and restrained, with the ivory marks catching the light more softly than a stark white.

How to use it

Use Woodsmoke where a room needs a cool, graphic lift without introducing strong colour: it sits naturally with pale oak, chalky whites, soft grey upholstery and brushed metal. The large angular motif can make a statement on a blind, curtain or tailored upholstered piece.

Pair the cool smoky ground with pale timber, chalky upholstery and softly textured neutrals.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside 02 Woodsmoke without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
