About this fabric

This substantial 487gsm fabric is well suited to upholstery, with a 135cm usable width for planning larger pieces. Its 79cm vertical repeat and 135cm horizontal repeat create a generous, fully populated pattern of curling stems, stylised flowers, seed heads and serrated leaves. In this colourway, charcoal and blue-grey accents give the design cool depth, while taupe, olive and sandy brown motifs keep the overall impression restrained rather than stark. The specification records 34 threads per centimetre and a standard length of 35m.

How to use it

Use Fossil on a sofa, armchair or upholstered headboard where its softly aged beige ground can sit alongside warm timber, charcoal piping and muted olive or stone textiles.

Use this substantial fossil-toned botanical on occasional chairs, sofas or statement headboards with charcoal, taupe and warm stone accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
