About this colour

At #BDAD9E, Double Mushroom reads as a warm mushroom beige with a gentle grey cast, so it feels softened rather than yellow. It lifts some light in the room, but not sharply, and keeps its colour depth well on a wall. In a north-facing room it can turn cooler and more taupe, while in south-facing light the warmth comes forward and the beige notes are clearer. It sits neatly beside pale oak, smoked timber and darker stained woodwork, and it also works well against upholstery in natural linens, pebble greys and muted browns. In Acrylic Eggshell, Elite Emulsion and True Matt, it gives the same restrained tone with a different level of sheen for walls or joinery.

How to use it

Use Double Mushroom in sitting rooms, bedrooms or hallways where you want a quiet, enveloping backdrop. It pairs well with painted skirtings in off-white and with chairs or curtains in oat, camel, stone or olive tones.
