About this fabric

The 420 gsm velvet has a dense, even face with no visible motif or pattern repeat, giving this colourway a calm, continuous appearance across the cloth. Its mole tone sits between brown and grey, with a muted depth that feels richer in the shaded areas of the nap and gently lighter where the pile reflects light. At 140 cm usable width, it offers a practical broad surface for upholstery applications. The supplied specification records 71 threads per cm, while both vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are 0 cm.

How to use it

Use this deep mole taupe on a sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its low-contrast colour can add warmth without becoming dominant. Pair it with chalky neutrals, aged timber and brushed metal to bring out the velvet’s smoky brown depth.
