About this fabric

This colourway is a very deep anthracite charcoal, reading almost black across the face of the swatch. The plain velvet surface has a close, softly brushed nap; the slight tonal shift across the image comes from the pile catching light rather than from a printed motif. At 420 gsm, with 71 threads per cm, it has a substantial specification suited to upholstery. It is supplied at 140 cm usable width, with 0 cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeats, so the uninterrupted surface can be cut without matching a design.

How to use it

Use this near-black charcoal shade on a sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its quiet nap can add depth without introducing a pattern. Pair it with pale stone, warm timber or brushed metal to balance the colourway’s cool, enveloping tone.
