About this fabric

This dense stripe alternates deep cochineal red with narrow sage-green lines, while delicate scrolling motifs sit within some of the red bands. At 590 gsm and 137 cm usable width, it has the substantial presence suited to upholstery. The 6.5 cm vertical and 3.4 cm horizontal repeats keep the small-scale pattern controlled across a chair, sofa or upholstered panel. With 16 threads per centimetre, the surface has a fine, closely woven appearance that gives the dark red tone added depth.

How to use it

The warm, saturated cochineal ground can anchor a tailored armchair or sofa, while the muted sage lines offer a restrained link to olive, moss and aged green accents. Pair it with dark wood or softly weathered finishes to balance the stripe’s formal, densely patterned character.

Use its cochineal-and-sage contrast to anchor tailored upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
