The dark eggplant ground reads almost plum-black in the deeper folds, giving the colourway a rich, enveloping depth. Small, irregular rust-orange dashes travel diagonally across the surface, creating a lively contrast without forming a rigid repeat. Fine, closely set texture is visible throughout, while the raised folds show subtle changes in sheen between the darker valleys and warmer highlights.
