About this fabric

The close, tiny-scale weave gives this colourway a gently pebbled, crosshatched appearance rather than a flat plain finish. Its warm tan-brown colouring shifts from pale honeyed highlights to deeper cognac shadows where the fabric folds. The cloth appears substantial enough to hold rounded folds while remaining flexible, making it suitable for both upholstery and drapery. No composition, width, rub test or performance features are supplied for this exact fabric, so those requirements should be confirmed before ordering.

How to use it

Pair Clarendon Cognac with creamy neutrals, aged timber and softly contrasting taupes for a warm, layered room. Its honeyed tan surface would work particularly well on a relaxed sofa, occasional chair or quietly tailored curtain.

Use this warm cognac weave to bring soft depth to upholstered seating, cushions or full-length curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
