About this fabric

The Obsidian colourway reads as a cool, near-black charcoal rather than a flat black, with cloudy tonal variation across the surface. Fine vertical striations, worn-looking marks and softly mottled patches create the impression of aged stone or concrete. The matt finish absorbs light, while occasional lighter flecks keep the dark ground from appearing featureless. Supplied as a wallpaper, it gives walls a textural mineral character without introducing a distinct repeat motif.

How to use it

Use this charcoal wallcovering to create a quietly dramatic backdrop in a study, hallway or modern living space. Pair it with pale timber, smoked glass and soft grey upholstery to bring out its cool mineral depth without making the room feel stark.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
