About this fabric

This colourway sets charcoal-grey botanical drawings against an aged cream ground, giving the repeat a gently weathered, low-contrast character. Large outlined leaves, clustered flowers, fern-like sprays and a long-tailed parrot are clearly picked out across the swatch. The pale ground keeps the design airy, while the concentrated linework creates darker pockets around the blossoms and bird. A subtle textile grain is visible beneath the illustration, gently softening the crisp drawn outlines.

How to use it

Use this muted cream-and-charcoal colourway where a room needs pattern without strong colour contrast, such as an occasional chair, relaxed blind or statement cushion. Bring out its warm aged ground with natural timber, oatmeal linen and soft charcoal accents.

Pair the aged cream ground and charcoal drawing with natural timber, linen and quiet warm neutrals.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
