Victoria's Dress Jet

The Arthur Portfolio FabricVCTRSDRSSJET

Victoria's Dress Jet combines a deep jet-black ground with vertical bands of mauve flowers, olive foliage and pale cream motifs. The closely repeated arrangement gives the colourway a graphic, decorative presence with a distinctly moody depth.

About this fabric

The jet-black background makes the mauve and lilac blooms appear softly luminous, while olive-green leaves bring a muted, earthy counterpoint. Alternating vertical bands include floral stems, cream scalloped motifs and fine dotted accents, creating a strong stripe rhythm across the cloth. The pattern reads as richly layered rather than brightly saturated, with the dark ground keeping the overall effect tailored. No composition, width, rub test or performance specification has been supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use this colourway where a room can carry a confident dark accent: on a statement chair, occasional upholstery or full-length curtains alongside olive, plum, black and warm ivory tones.

Use the jet-black ground to anchor rooms with warm timber, brass or softly contrasting neutral upholstery and drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
