Imani Orchid/Willow

Amara FabricCCF0157-04

Imani Orchid/Willow pairs a pale ivory woven ground with closely arranged vertical stripes in dusty orchid, muted willow, taupe and darker brown. The cool, softened palette gives the stripe a quietly layered appearance rather than a high-contrast effect.

About this fabric

The broad ivory ground is crossed by narrow vertical bands in dusty orchid, muted willow and taupe, with darker outlines giving each stripe grouping a measured edge. Its close, tiny woven texture is visible across the pale areas, creating a tactile surface rather than a smooth printed finish. At 476 gsm and 139 cm usable width, it has the substantial presence expected of an upholstery-led textile. The 27.7 cm horizontal repeat and 0.4 cm vertical repeat record the disciplined rhythm of the stripe, while the standard length is 40 m.

How to use it

The gentle orchid and willow tones work particularly well on a buttoned chair, headboard or tailored sofa, where the vertical direction can lengthen the silhouette. Pair it with ivory, mushroom or muted olive accents to echo the swatch’s softened contrast.

Use the muted orchid and willow stripes to bring gentle colour to tailored upholstery against warm ivory and natural wood.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
