Botany Summer

Exotica FabricCCF0376-02

Botany Summer is an illustrated natural-history scene on a warm cream ground, combining a dramatic violet iris with pink flowers, palms, butterflies and a leopard. Its softly aged neutral base lets the saturated botanical colours and fine drawn foliage read clearly.

About this fabric

Botany Summer places a large-scale illustrated garden across a warm cream ground, with a deep violet iris at the centre, hot pink blooms, palms and fine grey-green foliage. Leopards, butterflies, pineapples and seed-pod studies give the composition its distinctive natural-history character, while the cream base keeps the many motifs legible. The 69cm vertical and 69cm horizontal repeats create a substantial pattern scale, and the 140cm usable width gives practical coverage for this 226gsm fabric. Supplied in a standard 40m length, this colourway balances softly aged neutrals with saturated purple, magenta, leafy green and black accents.

How to use it

Use the warm cream and leafy green as the room’s foundation, then pick up the iris purple or hot pink in cushions, painted furniture or piping. The large repeat is suited to statement curtains, occasional upholstery or a feature chair where the leopard and butterfly details can be enjoyed up close.

A warm cream ground and vivid natural-history print bring layered colour to curtains, cushions and upholstered pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
