About this fabric

This 253 gsm woven fabric is patterned with curling damask foliage and small ornamental flourishes, visible in contrasting antique-gold and taupe-brown yarns. The ground reads as a muted brown-taupe with a subtle olive cast, while the lighter motifs catch the light across the textured weave. Its 24 cm horizontal and 24.5 cm vertical pattern repeats keep the ornament detailed and evenly distributed rather than oversized. At 144 cm wide and supplied in a standard 40 m length, it is a versatile mid-weight choice for upholstery or drapery.

How to use it

Use Imperiale Antique on a statement armchair, dining seat or full-length curtain where its antique-gold highlights can sit alongside aged timber, warm stone and deeper brown accents. The muted taupe-brown base also makes the ornate pattern easier to combine with quieter plains.

Use the muted taupe-brown ground to temper antique-gold damask motifs in both classic upholstery and softly coordinated curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
