Mattone Slate is a quietly textured Clarke & Clarke fabric in a pale, cool slate grey. Its softly weathered surface combines irregular block-like marks with subtle ivory and warm-grey variation.

About this fabric
The cool blue-grey ground is overlaid with an abstract arrangement of softened squares, broken vertical strokes and lightly distressed flecks. Chalky ivory highlights catch across the surface, giving the pale slate tone gentle depth without making the design feel busy. At 358 gsm, the fabric has a substantial woven presence, while its 137 cm useable width offers practical coverage. The pattern repeats every 50 cm vertically and 35 cm horizontally, creating a measured rhythm across a larger piece.
How to use it
Use Mattone Slate to upholster a clean-lined chair or sofa where its pale slate tone can soften darker timber and charcoal accents. Its restrained, cool colouring also works well as full-length drapery in a light, contemporary room.
