About this fabric

This Clarke & Clarke fabric is a substantial 691gsm woven textile, making it particularly well suited to upholstery. Close up, the surface is formed from fine irregular blue and charcoal flecks dispersed through a pale grey-ivory ground, creating a weathered, stone-like impression. The cool denim tone is softened by the lighter threads, while darker areas add depth as the light moves across the weave. With a 137cm usable width and zero vertical and horizontal pattern repeat, it offers a continuous mottled field without a directional motif to align.

How to use it

Use Stucco Denim to upholster a relaxed sofa, armchair or footstool where its cool blue-grey depth can balance chalky walls, pale oak and warm cream textiles. The flecked surface is especially effective in rooms that need colour without a sharp, uniform block of blue.

Use this weighty, softly mottled denim blue on occasional chairs, sofas or footstools with pale timber and warm neutral layers.
