Stucco Damson

Manhattan FabricCCF0228-02

Stucco Damson has a deep, muted plum-brown ground, broken by pale flecks and softly vertical tonal striations. Its dense surface gives the colour a heathered, dimensional quality rather than a flat solid appearance.

About this fabric

This Clarke & Clarke Manhattan fabric has a substantial 691gsm weight, making it well suited to upholstery. The visible texture combines dark damson and brown tones with chalky cream-grey highlights, creating a softly mottled finish that changes subtly as the light catches the pile and weave. With a 137cm usable width, it offers a generous working span for furniture projects. Both the vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are 0cm, so the textured effect can be handled without matching a repeating motif.

How to use it

Use Stucco Damson on a statement armchair, sofa or footstool where its dark plum depth can anchor a room. Balance the rich, dusky colour with pale stone, warm ivory, aged timber or brushed metal.

Use this deep, dusky damson tone to bring weight and layered depth to upholstered seating, particularly against warm neutrals or pale stone shades.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
