Gallioni Charcoal

Origins FabricCCF0492-01

Gallioni Charcoal is a close-set geometric weave with a cool charcoal ground and interlocking mid-grey shapes. Its compact, stepped motif gives the surface a quietly graphic character rather than a plain finish.

About this fabric

Gallioni Charcoal is a densely woven textile in layered charcoal and mid-grey, with subtle shifts in tone across the face of the cloth. The small motif reads as repeated stepped chevrons and broken houndstooth-like blocks, creating a precise, rhythmic texture. At 320 gsm and 133 cm usable width, it has the substance and visual firmness expected of an upholstery fabric. Its 3.2 cm vertical and 2.3 cm horizontal pattern repeat keeps the design controlled on chairs, headboards and compact sofas. The cool charcoal shade offers tailored depth, while the lighter grey threads prevent it from reading as flat black.

How to use it

Use Gallioni Charcoal on a structured armchair, dining seat or contemporary sofa where its cool, tailored grey can anchor warmer timber, soft ivory and brushed metal accents. The small repeat works especially well when a subtle graphic texture is wanted without introducing a bold-scale pattern.

A tailored charcoal-and-grey geometric weave with enough visual texture to add depth to upholstered furniture.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Gallioni Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
