Origins FabricCCF0526-01

Ramie Charcoal is a deep charcoal-grey woven fabric with a closely textured surface. Fine horizontal rows and subtle flecking give the colour quiet depth rather than a flat, solid appearance.

About this fabric

The swatch shows a dense, finely grained weave in layered charcoal grey, with lighter threads catching between darker horizontal lines. Its understated texture gives the surface a softly irregular, natural-looking character while retaining a smart, composed tone. At 306 gsm and 139 cm usable width, it is substantial enough for upholstery while remaining suitable for drapery. Both the vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are 0 cm, and the standard length is 40 m, making this a non-directional plain weave for practical cutting.

How to use it

Pair the cool charcoal tone with pale timber, warm stone and textured neutrals to soften its depth, or use it against blackened metal for a sharper contemporary scheme. Its quiet horizontal texture works equally well on a tailored chair, sofa or full-length curtain.

Use this deep charcoal weave to bring grounded contrast to upholstered seating, curtains or blinds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
