Ramie Linen

Origins FabricCCF0526-03

Ramie Linen has a pale greige-taupe ground with a visibly irregular, closely packed weave. Fine horizontal shifts in tone give the surface a softly striated appearance rather than a flat solid colour.

About this fabric

The close weave combines warm beige, stone and muted grey threads, creating a natural greige that changes subtly as the light catches the raised horizontal texture. Its 306 gsm weight gives the cloth a substantial mid-weight presence, making it suitable for both upholstery and drapery. The fabric has a 139 cm usable width and a standard 40 m length. With a 0 cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat, the woven texture can be handled without matching a repeating motif.

How to use it

Pair this pale greige-taupe colourway with chalky whites, warm timber and soft stone upholstery for a quiet natural scheme. Its horizontal woven texture also adds understated depth when used as relaxed curtains or on a tailored occasional chair.

Use this softly textured greige weave to bring calm, natural depth to upholstery, curtains or layered neutral schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
