Cecily Silver

Atmosphere VII FabricJ0085-01

Cecily Silver reads as a gentle silver-grey damask with a soft, powdery ground and a faint warm shimmer in the motif. The pattern sits quietly across the cloth, giving the design a light, refined presence.

About this fabric

This Jane Churchill fabric from the Atmosphere VII collection is woven in a 44% Cotton, 41% Polyester, 15% Viscose blend, with an approximate width of 128cm and a vertical repeat of 40cm and horizontal repeat of 32cm. The swatch shows a pale silver-grey ground layered with small, scattered floral marks and vine-like movement in muted taupe and champagne tones. Its surface has a softly diffused look rather than a hard sheen, so the design feels understated and elegant. The composition and the visible body of the cloth make it suitable for both upholstery and drapery where a calm decorative pattern is wanted.

How to use it

Use Cecily Silver to soften a bedroom or sitting room scheme, especially alongside chalky neutrals, pale oak and brushed metals. Its cool-warm silver base keeps it flexible, while the scattered motif adds interest without overpowering the room.

A pale, versatile damask with enough body for upholstery and a softly luminous finish for curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Cecily Silver without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
