About this fabric

This Jane Churchill fabric is woven in a blend of 44% cotton, 41% polyester and 15% viscose, giving the surface a refined textile feel with a little movement in the light. The design shows a small-scale all-over pattern of clustered dots and wandering arcs, picked out in pale cream, muted brown and soft grey against a golden yellow ground. With an approximate width of 128cm and a vertical repeat of 40cm by 32cm across, it is well suited to considered upholstery or decorative drapery use. The overall effect is warm rather than brash, with the gold tone softened by the lighter flecks so the pattern reads airy and elegant rather than heavy.

How to use it

Use Cecily Gold to lift a neutral scheme, especially alongside linen, putty or soft oak finishes. Its warm yellow-gold tone works well where you want pattern without darkness, bringing a gentle glow to seating or curtains.

A warm golden ground with a lively speckled pattern that brightens upholstery or relaxed curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Cecily Gold without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
