Romaine Stripe Stone

Brooke Stripes FabricF4838-05

Romaine Stripe Stone shows a neat vertical stripe layout with softly muted stone, beige and pale taupe tones. The finish reads calm and tailored, with a slight sheen in the lighter stripes from the viscose content.

About this fabric

Romaine Stripe Stone from the Brooke Stripes collection by Colefax and Fowler is a 52% linen, 42% viscose and 6% polyamide fabric with a width of approximately 149cm. The repeat is vertical 0cm / horizontal 8cm approximately, which gives the design its crisp, evenly spaced stripe rhythm. In this colourway, the palette is a restrained mix of stone beige, warm taupe and faintly green-tinged neutral bands, creating a soft, easy-on-the-eye effect. The woven texture looks refined rather than rustic, and the slightly lustrous lighter stripes help lift the overall surface without making it glossy. With care code Q 8 + T 3 and √BM fire code noted, it is a versatile textile for polished interiors.

How to use it

Use this stone-toned stripe to bring order and lightness to upholstered pieces, especially where a smart but understated finish is wanted. It also suits tailored curtains or Roman blinds, where the narrow vertical rhythm will read clearly in a neutral room.

A quietly tailored stripe that works beautifully on classic seating or elegant curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Romaine Stripe Stone without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
