Bambury Red
Fairhaven FabricJ596F-08
Bambury Red shows a neat, all-over leaf motif in a soft dusty red, set against a warm pale ground. The small-scale repeat gives the design a tidy, ordered look that reads clearly at a distance.

About this fabric
This colourway of Fairhaven by Jane Churchill combines 85% cotton with 15% viscose, giving the cloth a soft, natural handle with a gentle surface sheen. The motif is a compact leaf or teardrop form, repeated in a precise rhythm across the width, with a vertical repeat of approximately 5cm and a horizontal repeat of approximately 3cm. Bambury Red appears muted rather than bright, with a chalky rose-red tone that sits comfortably on the warm side of red. At approximately 138cm wide, it is a versatile fabric for tailored soft furnishings and considered upholstery schemes.
How to use it
Use Bambury Red on a compact armchair, dining seats or a Roman blind where the small pattern can be appreciated up close. Its softened red tone works especially well with ivory, putty and dark timber finishes.
Pairs neatly with pale woods, linen neutrals and deeper berry accents.
Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Bambury Red without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
