Gloriana FabricJ0257-03

Fantine Red/Ochre brings the Gloriana design to life in a warm, painterly palette of red, ochre, blush and soft green. The leaf motif feels lively and decorative, with the cream ground keeping the overall look airy.

About this fabric

Fantine Red/Ochre from the Gloriana collection by Jane Churchill is a fabric with a large botanical repeat, measuring approximately V 75cm and H 64cm, on a width of around 128cm. Its 44% polyester, 34% linen and 22% cotton composition gives the cloth a woven, natural-handled character that still looks substantial enough for interior use. In this colourway the leaves and stems are drawn in warm red, rust, ochre, pink and pale yellow, with occasional cooler blue-grey accents that stop the palette from becoming too heavy. The cream ground softens the design and lets the layered foliage read clearly without losing its freshness. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code Z are supplied for this specific fabric.

How to use it

This colourway works well in rooms that can handle a little warmth, especially against plaster, chalky white or muted green walls. It will feel particularly effective on an upholstered occasional chair or as curtains where the ochre and red leaves can be seen at a distance.

Use this for statement upholstery or softly tailored curtains where the warm red and ochre palette can lead the room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
