Fantine Multi

Gloriana FabricJ0257-01

Fantine Multi is a bright, painterly botanical with a light ground and a scatter of layered leaves in soft, chalky colour. The design feels airy and decorative, with the repeat forming a lively all-over trail rather than a strict formal stripe.

About this fabric

Fantine Multi from Jane Churchill’s Gloriana collection is a fabric with a generous vertical repeat of around 75cm and a horizontal repeat of around 64cm, so the motif reads as an expansive decorative design across the width. The cloth is 44% polyester, 34% linen and 22% cotton, giving it a natural-looking base with enough body for flexible use, and the 128cm approx width is practical for made-up pieces. In this colourway, the foliage is drawn in soft aqua, blush, lemon, coral, olive and muted plum against a pale ground, creating a fresh but gently faded palette. The printed leaves and stems feel playful rather than formal, with the lighter tones keeping the pattern open and easy on the eye.

How to use it

This soft multi palette works well in cheerful bedrooms, relaxed living spaces or a nursery where you want colour without heaviness. Pair it with pale painted wood, warm neutrals or one of the leaf tones already present in the print so the design feels pulled together.

Use as a lively statement on upholstery or curtains where the pastel leaf trail can shine.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
