Adelaide Celadon

Jalore FabricM4176-04

Adelaide Celadon sets a painterly botanical scene on a pale ground, with winding branches and layered flowers in celadon, teal, green and touches of yellow. The overall effect is airy but detailed, letting the pattern read clearly without feeling heavy.

About this fabric

Woven in 57% linen and 43% cotton, this fabric has the natural look and softly textured handle associated with a linen-cotton blend, while the 135cm approximate width makes it practical for larger decorative projects. The design shows a large-scale botanical repeat, with a vertical repeat of 136cm (half drop) and an approximate horizontal repeat of 90cm, so the trailing branches and floral clusters can be matched with plenty of visual movement. In this colourway, the celadon ground feels cool and fresh, while the teal and leaf green motifs are lifted by small yellow accents and fine sketch-like detailing. It reads as a light, elegant print rather than a dense or dark textile, which helps the pattern stay crisp against the pale background.

How to use it

Use Adelaide Celadon to brighten a room with cream upholstery, pale timber and brushed brass, where its cool green-blue tones can feel calm rather than chilly. It also works well as statement curtains or upholstered accent chairs when you want a smart botanical pattern with plenty of lightness.

A fresh celadon ground keeps the painterly florals light and elegant for either curtains or cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
