Lucia Opaline

Ondine FabricM4141-01

Lucia Opaline presents a light, watery green ground with layered leaf forms drifting across the cloth. The overall effect is airy and fresh, with darker leaf details and slender ochre stems giving the design gentle structure.

About this fabric

This fabric is composed of 68% viscose and 32% cotton, with an approximate width of 138cm and a large repeat of V 63cm / H 69cm, so the motif has room to read clearly across larger pieces. In Lucia Opaline, the palette sits in a soft mint-opaline range, lifted by pale cream-green areas and punctuated by deeper mossy leaf clusters. The leaf shapes appear almost hand-painted, with fine vein detailing and a lightweight visual texture that keeps the pattern from feeling heavy. The overall tone is calm and luminous rather than saturated, making this colourway feel cooler and more translucent than a denser green fabric.

How to use it

Pair Lucia Opaline with blond timber, linen neutrals and brushed brass for a room that feels light but tailored. Its fresh green note also works well against white-painted joinery and soft stone shades.

Use with pale woods and chalky neutrals to keep the opaline ground feeling fresh.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Lucia Opaline without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
