Kashan Nuit

Ondine FabricM4140-03

Kashan Nuit shows a richly ornamented pattern set on a deep teal-blue ground, with bright medallions in pink, gold and green. The contrast gives the design a vivid, jewel-box feel rather than a soft faded one.

About this fabric

Woven in 70% cotton and 30% linen, this fabric has the grounded handle of a decorative upholstery cloth while still working well at the window. The repeat is approximately V 75cm / H 140cm, and the large-scale layout reads clearly across the width of the cloth. In this colourway, the dark blue-green ground makes the fuchsia, saffron and leaf-green motifs stand out sharply, with a slightly velvet-like richness in the overall effect. It is a striking choice where you want pattern and colour to feel saturated and confidently layered.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair, ottoman or lined drapery where the deep teal base can anchor the room. It sits especially well with walnut, brass and plain textiles in moss, plum or ink blue.

Pair with warm woods and plain velvet to let the jewel tones stay vivid.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
