About this fabric

Woven in 53% linen and 47% viscose, this fabric has the relaxed handle and soft sheen that suit both curtains and upholstered pieces. The design is shown here in muted blue, grey and pale sage tones, with the motif sitting lightly on the surface rather than appearing stark or high-contrast. At approximately 132cm wide with a vertical repeat of 77cm and a horizontal repeat of 132cm, it is a substantial patterned cloth that will work well where the scale of the floral needs room to breathe. The overall effect is cool, restrained and slightly antique, with just enough tonal depth to give the blooms definition.

How to use it

Use Sumela Blue on a tailored armchair, loose cover or full-length curtains where the soft blue-grey palette can sit against limestone, painted wood or pale timber. It works particularly well in calm bedroom or sitting room schemes that want pattern with a quiet, refined finish.
