Olney Stripe Aqua

Olney FabricF4935-03

Olney Stripe Aqua is a softly striped fabric with a fresh, misty aqua presence against a pale ground. The vertical bands feel light and neatly ordered, giving the design an easy, understated rhythm.

About this fabric

Woven in a 53% viscose, 35% linen, 6% cotton, 5% polyester and 1% acrylic blend, this fabric has the subtle handle and gently textured look associated with natural-fibre mixes. The stripe runs vertically with an approximate 10cm horizontal repeat and a width of around 144cm, making the pattern read cleanly across curtains, blinds or simple upholstery pieces. In this colourway, the aqua is softened rather than bright, with a cool watery tint that sits comfortably beside the paler ivory stripes. The overall effect is calm and breezy, with just enough structure in the weave to keep the design crisp.

How to use it

Use it where you want a light, coastal note without a strong contrast: it would suit slip cushions, roman blinds or a smart upholstered chair. Pair the cool aqua with pale oak, chalk white or washed linen tones to keep the scheme fresh.

A cool, airy stripe that works well on tailored upholstery or relaxed curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Olney Stripe Aqua without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
