Morette Sand

Olney FabricF4934-04

Morette Sand is a softly speckled neutral with a warm sand-beige cast and a gentle woven texture. The surface reads calm and understated, with just enough tonal variation to stop it feeling flat.

About this fabric

This Olney fabric by Colefax and Fowler is a 140cm-wide textile with a plain repeat, making the weave and colour the main visual features. The composition of 47% viscose, 21% linen, 17% cotton, 6% acrylic, 5% polyester and 4% polyamide gives the cloth its lightly slubbed, softly matte appearance. In Morette Sand, the mix of pale wheat, oat and beige threads creates a warm, natural-looking ground with a subtle crosshatched effect. It is a versatile fabric for schemes that need a refined neutral rather than a sharp cream or a cool grey.

How to use it

Use it for relaxed upholstery, tailored cushions or full-length curtains where you want a warm, sun-baked neutral. It sits especially well with pale timber, chalky whites and deeper tan accents.

A quiet neutral that layers easily with oak, linen and painted finishes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
