Tabi Ebony

Sami FabricL9452-02

Tabi Ebony has a gently weathered look, with pale taupe ground tones broken by vertical ebony-toned striping. The result is calm and textural rather than stark, with a soft, draped presence in the cloth.

About this fabric

Woven in 92% linen and 8% polyamide, this fabric has the natural slub and slightly irregular surface you can see in the vertical striations of the image. The repeat is 0cm x 0cm approx, so the stripe-like texture reads as part of the weave rather than a printed repeat. At 282cm approx wide, it is well suited to wide curtains and other full-drop window treatments. Ebony here is softened into a muted taupe-brown, giving the design an understated, smart finish rather than a high-contrast dark stripe.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want texture without heaviness: it will sit beautifully against plaster, oak and stone. Its muted ebony note pairs especially well with chalky neutrals, deeper browns and brushed metal accents.

A refined neutral with enough texture to bring quiet depth to tailored curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
