Marajo Ebony shows a finely worked small-scale pattern in muted taupe and graphite tones. The overall effect is soft and low-contrast, with the darker threads giving the surface a subtle ebony depth.

About this fabric

This Larsen fabric from the Mundo collection combines 75% cotton, 11% acrylic, 11% virgin wool and 3% polyester in a 128cm approx. wide cloth with a repeat of V 42cm / H 16cm approx. The weave reads as a tight, textured ground with a small repeating motif that creates gentle movement rather than bold contrast. In Marajo Ebony, the palette sits between warm taupe and shaded grey, so the pattern feels calm and tailored rather than stark black. It is a versatile textile with enough body for upholstery, while the restrained tone also works well for structured drapery where a richer, quieter finish is wanted.

How to use it

Marajo Ebony is ideal on an accent chair, banquette or cushion where its subtle pattern can add depth without dominating the scheme. Pair it with oatmeal linens, smoked oak and bronze details to bring out the warmer side of the shade.

Use with warm woods and matte metals for a refined, understated finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
