Jao Clay

Mundo FabricL9498-02

Jao Clay is a calm, powdery neutral with a warm clay-beige cast and an almost suede-like softness in the weave. Its surface reads smooth and even, with just enough texture to keep the colour feeling alive.

About this fabric

From Larsen’s Mundo collection, Jao Clay is a fabric with a plain, finely textured appearance and a very subtle matte finish. The colour sits between beige and pale clay, giving it a gentle warmth rather than a grey or yellow bias. With a width of approximately 142cm and a composition of 45% virgin wool, 30% cotton and 25% polyamide, it has the reassuring hand and structure expected of a versatile woven textile. The repeat is listed as vertical 0cm / horizontal 0cm approx, so it presents as a clean solid rather than a patterned fabric, while the √BH fire code adds practical suitability.

How to use it

Use Jao Clay on a tailored sofa, banquette or armchair where its muted warmth can soften sharper architectural lines. It pairs especially well with walnut, brushed brass and deeper brown or olive accents.

A quiet clay-beige that layers easily with oak, linen and deeper earth tones.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
