About this fabric

This colourway reads as a mellow tobacco brown, softened by beige and caramel undertones that lift the pattern without flattening its depth. The fan-shaped repeat is clearly visible, with fine linear striations that give the surface a tailored, almost hand-worked texture. Woven in a 67% cotton, 20% viscose, 9% linen, 3% polyester and 1% wool composition, it has the substance and character to suit both upholstery and drapery applications. The repeat is approx. V 47cm / H 64cm and the fabric width is approx. 129cm, helping to plan the design layout accurately. The overall effect is smart and grounded rather than glossy, with the warm brown ground making the motif feel especially usable in interior schemes.

How to use it

Use Wenge Tobacco on a statement chair, banquette or full-length curtains where its warm brown tone can sit comfortably with timber and leather. It works particularly well in rooms that need a richer neutral with texture rather than a flat plain.

Pairs well with oak, tan leather and matte brass for a tailored, layered scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Wenge Tobacco without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
