Wenge Wood

Seki FabricL9472-03

Wenge Wood in the Seki collection reads as a richly layered brown with a warm, toasted undertone. The fan-like geometric pattern is picked out in fine striated texture, giving the surface depth and movement.

About this fabric

This Larsen fabric is composed of 67% cotton, 20% viscose, 9% linen, 3% polyester and 1% wool, and measures approximately 129cm wide with a repeat of V 47cm / H 64cm. The colourway shows a deep walnut-brown ground with lighter caramel highlights that catch on the raised linear weave. Its large-scale overlapping motif has a rhythmic, almost leaf-like quality, while the dry woven handle visible in the image suggests a fabric with body and presence. The overall effect is warm, earthy and slightly tailored, with enough texture to stop the brown reading flat.

How to use it

Use this colourway on statement upholstery pieces where the large repeat can be shown off, such as a sofa, armchair or ottoman. It sits especially well with smoked oak, bronze metalwork and textured neutrals that let the warm brown tone lead.

Pairs well with warm woods and bronze accents for a rich, tailored scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
