ALT4226 has a warm taupe-brown ground with fine beige and darker brown flecks running through its compact chenille weave. The close-up surface reads softly nubby and tactile, with subtle tonal variation rather than a printed motif.

About this fabric

This Alto colourway is a tightly woven chenille in 84% polyester and 16% recycled cotton, with a gently irregular texture that gives the taupe shade depth. Its 138cm width makes it practical for upholstery applications, while the warm brown undertone keeps the colour grounded and inviting. Rated for domestic upholstery, it is also machine washable and carries Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy. The small-scale woven flecks catch the light lightly, creating a relaxed, naturally textured finish.

How to use it

Use ALT4226 on a domestic sofa, armchair or dining seat where its warm taupe-brown tone can soften charcoal, cream and natural timber. Pair it with boucle, linen-look textures or darker brown accents to bring out the chenille’s subtle woven depth.

A warm, nubby taupe chenille with a softly rustic woven character for domestic upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
