About this fabric

This chenille is woven from 84% polyester and 16% recycled cotton, with the compact construction clearly visible in the close-up. Its brick-red tone leans warm and earthy, while the darker flecks add depth rather than a flat, uniform colour. At 138cm wide, it is supplied as a domestic upholstery fabric. It is machine washable and carries Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy.

How to use it

Use ALT4231 on a reading chair, footstool or sofa where its warm brick-red colour can anchor a room. Pair it with dark timber, aged leather and muted neutrals to echo the fabric’s brown-black woven flecks.

Use the deep brick-red tone to bring warmth and tactile depth to domestic seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
