Belvedere FabricBEL1977

BEL1977 is a warm burnt-teracotta chenille with a softly mottled surface and gently varied orange depth. Its close texture catches the light unevenly, giving the plain colour a tactile, lived-in character.

About this fabric

The colour sits between earthy terracotta and softened burnt orange, with lighter threads breaking through the deeper base to create subtle movement across the swatch. A fine, brushed chenille texture is visible throughout, rather than a printed motif, and the surface has a gently dimensional finish. Made from 100% polyester and supplied at 138cm wide, BEL1977 is specified for Contract and Domestic upholstery. It is machine washable and carries Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy, with treatment available to achieve Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Use this warm terracotta colour on a statement armchair, sofa or dining seat where its softly mottled chenille texture can add depth without introducing a busy pattern. It works especially well as an earthy counterpoint to pale neutrals and natural timber.

Use this warm burnt-teracotta chenille to bring rich, earthy colour and tactile depth to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
